Donald L. Cook, Jr.
Of Counsel

Donald Cook has specialized in civil litigation matters his entire legal career of over twenty five (25) years. He specializes in representing clients in domestic relations matters, including high income divorce cases involving property division, valuation of assets, child support and alimony. Mr. Cook has extensive experience handling high conflict, contested custody cases. His practice also includes negotiating settlement agreements, modification agreements and pre and post nuptial agreements. Prior to joining Smith & Liss, LLC, Mr. Cook was a partner at McGee & Oxford, LLP, a general practice and litigation firm.

Complimenting his family law practice, Mr. Cook represents individual and corporate clients in business, commercial and contract litigation in State and Federal court. These actions include breach of contract, business fraud and real estate issues. His practice includes extensive representation of commercial and residential Brokers in real estate commission disputes and other related issues.

Mr. Cook has an AV Rating with Martindale-Hubbard’s Bar Register, which is the highest attainable rating as to his legal skill level and integrity. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University, where he was a published member of the school’s law review. Mr. Cook is a member of the State Bars of Georgia and North Carolina.
