Michelle S. Budd

Michelle S. Budd is a paralegal in the Smith & Liss litigation and business practice group. With over 30 years of experience in serving the legal community and an extensive background in litigation, business, corporate, construction, and real estate matters, Ms. Budd provides paralegal support to multiple attorneys in a high volume and time sensitive atmosphere.

Ms. Budd obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama with a double major in political science and criminal justice. In 1986, she obtained her paralegal certification with honors from the National Center for Paralegal Training in Atlanta, Georgia, an ABA approved program. Having worked in both law firms and a financial institution setting for over 30 years, Ms. Budd has a broad and diverse base of experience that includes: trial preparation and discovery; due diligence fact investigation; large case/document review and analysis; database and document management; real estate transactions; contracts; construction disputes; creditors’ rights; labor and employment matters; corporate formations and compliance in multi-state jurisdictions.

Ms. Budd and her husband reside in Suwanee, Georgia where she is very active in her community. She served as a member of the Board of Directors for her homeowners’ association for 9 years, serving as President for 7 years; she has served on the City’s Suwanee Fest committee since 2013; She was appointed to the City of Suwanee Zoning Board of Appeals in December of 2014, and to the Planning & Zoning Commission in January 2016, where she currently serves as Vice Chair.
