Holly Loy

As the result of her father’s job as one of the first experts in business computer programming in the 1970s and 1980s, Holly grew up all over the United States, before graduating a year early and as the valedictorian of her class in Greenwood, South Carolina.

She attended Southern Illinois University where she was an officer of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority (and Outstanding Sorority Woman for SIU) and Phi Alpha Theta, Honor Society in History. She graduated magna cum laude and received the honors of Panhellenic Outstanding Sorority Member and Delyte Morris Presidential Scholar (the highest honor given to a graduating senior).

At the University of Tennessee College of Law, Holly was a member of the editorial board of the Tennessee Law Review, the Moot Court Board, and ATLA National Trial Team. She was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2000. Prior to joining the firm, Holly was an attorney for the City of Atlanta and an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia.

Activities and Interests

  • Writing committee chair and performer in the Atlanta Bar Association’s “A Courthouse Line” productions, a bi-annual fundraising production written and performed by attorneys to raise money for the Atlanta Bar Foundation
  • Refinishing furniture, sewing, cooking and travel
  • Enjoys spending time with her family
